Moppie-Maatje Muzz lets family house children get used to a new home

DeMoppies.com is a small company where Moppie-Cushions with Character are developed. Each pillow has their own character and corresponding story. These pillows are supported by a pedagogical plan. These are stories, practical tools and tips about learning children how to deal with emotions in a familiar way during a major situation. The pillows with supporting materials are used in hospices, family homes and primary schools.

After the launch of the first four Moppie Pillows, a concept was developed in collaboration with family home Knuzz. Especially for family home children. Many interested parties are enthusiastic, but no purchase is made. The Multiply project offered the opportunity to research the reasons and solutions for this issue together with three Business Administration students.

Miranda Smit-van Keulen of the Moppies says, 'I have experienced the collaboration with the students as very positive. They were enthusiastic about the subject, could empathize with the subject matter, were open to input and had sufficient knowledge and skills to carry out this research. Moreover, they were well supervised behind the scenes by teachers.'

This cooperation resulted in the need to improve the information provision about Moppie-Maatje Muzz. And the students made a concrete proposal for this. Moreover, it turned out that many practical tools are sponsored by family houses. I will now investigate whether this is also possible for my products. Finally, a new revenue model has also been devised based on booklets about "the Moppies" that will be published.

All in all, this was an educational, inspiring and functional collaboration as far as I am concerned.
